1. Introduction

Welcome to BeeSquare.co.in (“BeeSquare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Author Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between BeeSquare and authors (“Author,” “you,” or “your”) who publish their works through our platform. By submitting your manuscript or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Manuscript Submission

• Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old or have legal authorization to enter into this agreement.
• Ownership and Rights: You represent and warrant that you are the sole owner of the manuscript or have obtained all necessary permissions for its publication. The manuscript must not infringe on any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, or privacy rights.
• Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content of your manuscript, including its accuracy, legality, and appropriateness. BeeSquare reserves the right to reject manuscripts that violate applicable laws or our content guidelines.

3. Book Cover Design

• Cover Photo Selection: Authors may choose a book cover photo from Pixabay (www.pixabay.com), provided the selected image complies with Pixabay’s licensing terms (e.g., Pixabay License for free commercial use). You are responsible for ensuring the image is suitable and appropriately licensed.
• Design Corrections: BeeSquare will provide one (1) opportunity for you to request corrections to the book cover design. Additional corrections may be subject to extra fees or may not be accommodated, at BeeSquare’s discretion.

4. Pricing and Costs

• Printing Costs: BeeSquare will provide you with the printing cost for your book based on factors such as page count, format, and quantity.
• Author Pricing: You have the authority to set the retail price of your book, provided it covers the printing costs. BeeSquare may provide guidance on pricing but the final decision rests with you.
• Royalties: You will receive royalties based on the retail price minus the printing costs and any applicable platform fees, as outlined in your publishing agreement.

5. Publishing Process

• Formatting and Production: BeeSquare will handle the formatting, printing, and distribution of your book based on the specifications agreed upon. You are responsible for ensuring the manuscript is print-ready unless you have opted for additional editing services.
• Proof Review: You will receive a proof of your book for review. You are entitled to one (1) round of corrections to the manuscript proof. Additional corrections may incur extra charges or may not be permitted, at BeeSquare’s discretion.
• Timeline: Publishing timelines will be communicated during the process. Delays caused by your failure to provide materials or feedback may extend the timeline.

6. Distribution and Sales

• Distribution Channels: BeeSquare will make your book available for sale through our platform and any agreed-upon distribution channels.
• Sales Reporting: You will have access to sales reports through your BeeSquare author account, updated periodically.
• Returns and Refunds: Books are printed on demand, and returns are subject to our return policy. You are not responsible for unsold inventory.

7. Intellectual Property

• Retention of Rights: You retain all copyrights and intellectual property rights to your manuscript and book content.
• License to BeeSquare: By publishing with us, you grant BeeSquare a non-exclusive, worldwide license to reproduce, distribute, and sell your book in print and digital formats through our platform and distribution channels.
• Cover Design Ownership: If BeeSquare creates a custom cover design (excluding the Pixabay image), the design elements created by BeeSquare remain our property, but you are granted a license to use the cover for your book.

8. Payment and Fees

• Payment Terms: Royalties will be paid to you on a schedule outlined in your publishing agreement, typically monthly or quarterly, subject to a minimum threshold.
• Taxes: You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your royalties, as per Indian tax laws or your country of residence.
• Service Fees: Any additional services (e.g., editing, marketing) will incur fees as agreed upon in advance.

9. Termination

• Termination by Author: You may terminate this agreement by providing 30 days’ written notice. Upon termination, your book will be removed from sale within a reasonable timeframe.
• Termination by BeeSquare: We reserve the right to terminate this agreement if you breach these Terms, including submitting content that violates laws or our policies.
• Post-Termination: Upon termination, all rights granted to BeeSquare revert to you, except for any outstanding obligations (e.g., unpaid fees).

10. Liability and Indemnity

• Limitation of Liability: BeeSquare is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.
• Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold BeeSquare harmless against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your manuscript, book content, or breach of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, India.

12. Amendments

BeeSquare may update these Terms at any time. You will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
